My client is a distribution giant who have grown exceptionally well over the past 12 months. One of the key areas of growth are their passive component and interconnect lines, which are the focus for 3 regional Business Development Manager positions they're currently hiring for.
These are all home based positions which will cover the following territories; M4 corridor (Berkshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire); M5 corridor (mainly Bristol, Bath, Gloucester, but with more business further in the South-West); M62 corridor (Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Yorkshire).
The ideal candidates will have:
- A background selling electronic components (passive, electromechanical, interconnect)
- Experience hunting new accounts whilst simultaneously managing large corporate OEMs
- An understanding of board level electronics
- The willingness to travel 3 days a week (on average)
These are strategic appointments, all designed to contribute towards achieving a £1Bn revenue target by 2020. There's a commercial team of around 50 employees across the UK, all managing their own region, so it's a competitive and energetic environment that would suit a driven sales manager/ business development manager.
