Business Development Manager (m/w) - International OEM - South Germany
A well established and rapidly expanding Discrete, Electromechanical and Passive electronic component supplier within the Automotive and Industrial sectors are looking to hire a Business Development Manager to cover the German region (possibly DACH also).
This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned field sales person or field applications engineer, with experience of selling "into" the Automotive/Industrial industry.
You will be assisted by field sales engineers and an in-house sales support function and although you are working reasonably autonomously you will have full access to very experienced and encouraging Sales Director.
-Strong technical understanding of both Active and Passive electronic components
-Proven track record developing new business for electronic components in Germany
-Ability to grow new business/customers across a region (provide some level of Design-In / Solution Sales)
-Fluency in German and English is essential
-Develop/maintain new and existing direct accounts across south Germany
-Work with Customers and Engineers to help drive new products into market
-Travel to Client locations and give technical presentations
-Forecast territory sales and develop sales development plans
A strong candidate would be someone with strong component product knowledge, preferably from a manufacturer, with experience of the industrial electronics market (though not essential) and the energy to travel regularly.
