This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RTL Design Engineer to join a global Semiconductor company as a Datapath Lead.
Based in Cambridge, this role is a superb option if you are mathematically minded, and keen to find an inventive new role in the field of GPUs.
This role will involve architectural research and design optimization for next generation Graphics Processing Units (GPUs); it would suit someone with strong mathematical skills and an understanding of floating point arithmetic. You will lead the lead the development of datapath units within GPU Hardware teams, define product roadmaps, and play a vital part in driving continuous improvements in datapath development methodologies within the business.
Through your research into cutting-edge techniques for implementing mathematical operations in silicon, you will build internal tools to aid in design exploration, and become a true Datapath expert within the organisation.
*Extensive experience in Digital ASIC Design, ideally for GPU's, CPU's or DSP
*RTL optimization skills
*A strong mathematical background
*An understanding of datapath design techniques
*An understanding of floating point arithmetic
*Programming skills in C/C++ would be beneficial.
