Digital IC Design Engineer - ASIC, Belgium

This is a great opportunity for a Digital IC Design Engineer looking to develop their creative career within a world-leading Semiconductor company. This role is based in Western Belgium, not far from Ghent.

Our client is a renowned global leader in mixed-signal IC design for a huge range of markets, including automotive, medical, industrial and aerospace. The Belgium design centre specialises in mixed-signal SoC solutions for communication applications.

As the successful Digital IC Design Engineer, you will take responsibility for the digital part of mixed signal SoC projects, working under the guidance of the Project Leader. The role will involve taking responsibility for digital ASIC designs from concept definition, translation into RTL, through verification and prototype evaluation, qualification and start-up of volume production. You will be using the very latest tools, and a wide variety of interesting and varied challenges will open up to you.

The right candidate will have:

*A good University degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science
*Strong hands-on experience in HDL languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL)
*Some prior industrial experience in digital IC design, with strong RTL design skills
*Scripting programming skills: TCL, PERL, Linux shell scripting, etc
*An understanding of CMOS technology
*Excellent people skills, a strong team work ethic and a creative mind
