Electronic Product Design Engineer

We're working with a company in the Thames Valley area which is establishing a new 'start up' style design centre. This is an opportunity to be one of the initial 4-5 primary engineers who will develop a market leading product with genuinely leading edge technology. These initial employees will then act as the core senior team to continue development and grow the design centre. The new application will transfer some of the company's existing technology into a multi billion unit market, with some challenging engineering (and therefore talented senior engineers) required. The new activity will be backed by very significant investment, therefore this is a 'start up' style scenario without the attendant risks and concerns about cash flow.

The Electronic Product Design Engineer will work within a fast moving product design team to develop cutting edge biometric sensor modules based in sensing technology, approaching the design from a holistic and system level standpoint. Responsibilities will include Substrate design and EM modelling for Precision analogue and mixed signal applications and taking products through the full cycle of design, release to manufacture.

The Successful candidate will have a strong background in Electronics Substrate design or similar, preferable for instrumentation, sensing, Haptics or Biometric applications, other knowledge required includes:
* Analogue and Mixed signal Design
*Schematic capture design and simulation (Altium preferable)
*EM Modelling
*Packaging technologies
*Knowledge of programming such as Python C/C++ and Matlab would be beneficial
* Areas of interest include: Printed Electronics, Substrate Design, Sensor Technology and Haptics.

If you would like to work on ground breaking technology, then this could be the position for you, please get in touch with your CV for further information.
