I have an excellent opportunity with my global client for an IT Support Specialist with the role based in Central London. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT Support environment and will have excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving skills along with strong customer service and communication ability to support internal users. You will be working as part of a global team but will be the point of contact for all IT matters in London and will have the professional ability to maintain, manage, support and improve the IT infrastructure.


Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for internal customers, providing a friendly, professional interface to ensure that questions and issues are recorded, prioritised and resolved in a way which allows continued efficient use of IT systems and for Cirrus to operate in an efficient way
  • Provide proactive updates to internal customers and other IT support teams to ensure good communication within the organisation
  • Maintain all infrastructure inventory systems to ensure corporate compliance for asset management
  • Provide 1st & 2nd line technical support for systems as agreed with IT Operations Manager to ensure consistent support for customers
  • Liaise with 3rd party support organisations, ensuring that they comply with our standards and that they resolve individual tasks or requests to our satisfaction
  • Monitor IT systems, reporting and recording on the Help Desk system, any errors or anomalies to ensure early investigation and resolution to allow continued access by our customers
  • Raise orders for IT related goods and services, updating internal management systems, to ensure company processes are followed and goods and services are ordered in a timely manner
  • Build desktop/laptops for deployment to ensure customers are able to work efficiently and effectively

Required Skills

  • Strong technical and customer service background
  • Experience in Windows and Linux desktop support
  • Highly competent in use of Systems and Applications
  • Able to keep up to date with latest trends/developments on topics relevant to the role
  • Highly motivated, well presented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Methodical and responsive to user community requirement
  • Able to communicate and engage with both technical and business users at all levels
  • Flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks
  • Able to plan and then execute programmes of work
  • Team player, able to add value across the full range of IT support services


Desirable Skills

Experience supporting Mac OS X
