My client is an international manufacturer of front end process equipment, used in semiconductor (IC) production. They have a European HQ in Germany, which is central to all of their service activity across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Benelux, the Scandics/Nordics and Eastern Europe.
They currently have 3 open positions for the service team in Germany, which can be home based near a 'customer rich' territory (eg. Munich, Frankfurt, Dresden).
This is a travelling role which will consist of:
- Corrective/ preventative maintenance
They will provide structured training, which will combine a preliminary 2 week course followed by 12-18 months 'on the job' experience at multiple customer sites. Therefore this person doesn't need a specific process background, just the following:
- A mechanical engineering degree (or similar)
- A solid understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing process
- Experience working in a fab environment
- The willingness to travel extensively
- Fluent English and German
This is a good chance for a mechanical engineer with 'hands on' semiconductor experience to join a well-established equipment vendor. They have a very strong 'presence' in Germany and want to provide additional local support to streamline their response times for customers.
Apply now if you're a field service engineer/ mechanical engineer with a semiconductor background, who wants a travelling position from a home office in Munich, Frankfurt or Dresden.
