Based in Cambridge the Principal Hardware Design Engineer will be working on the development of a new range of wireless and wireless accessory products working across the complete development lifecycle from requirements, release and to manufacture.
The Principal Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for being the Technical Lead with Design Authority, involving the management of development both internally and externally, supporting/mentoring teams of design and test engineers to resolve complex risks and issues found during the development cycle, analysis of top level requirements and definition of Hardware Architecture designs and providing overall Hardware ownership within the project.
The Successful candidate will have a good relevant degree with strong technical background and some more recent knowledge of leading teams. Skills of interest include:
* Digital, Analogue and RF Design preferably with additional skills in Baseband, Audio or Wireless Technologies (TETRA, DMR, GSM)
*Proven record of technical ownership of at least 2 years, including project estimation
*Strong expertise in delivering products into manufacture for medium to high volumes
*Able to apply and improve engineering processes to manage technical quality
