Senior/Principal CAD Support Engineer - Analog IC - Munich
One of the most exciting developments and opportunity for a CAD Support Engineer to arise in the Munich area! This is a new and unique opportunity to join a global leader in Semiconductor development for consumer applications to support this new design team.
In this role you will be working as a senior member of the international CAD team involved in architecture, development, maintenance and enhancing the design and simulation flows and methodology for Analog/Mixed-Signal circuit designs.
You will be working with various technology nodes and providing flows and methodologies for the different tool sets. You will be tasked with interfacing with the Analog IC Designers and layout teams as well as 3rd party EDA tool vendors to drive and coordinate the development and validation of the Analog design environment and flows and enhancing custom checks and data generation.
Industry qualified with a Masters or PhD, the successful CAD/EDA Support / Methodology engineer will have 10+ years of industry experience in Analog design flows and/or related CAD support areas involving various technology nodes.
Experience is required in some or all of the following:
-Full support for Cadence custom flows, includes tool development, installation and maintenance.
-Virtuoso Schematic Editor, Virtuoso Analog Design Environment (ADE), Virtuosos layout Editor, customization of Virtuoso ADE Menus, Model Skew, netlist format variations, schematic/layout CDF callbacks.
- Familiarity with ADE Results access, Data Analysis, Waveform plotting, OCEAN scripting customization with different simulators.
-Spice simulators, including Spectre/APS/XPS, AFS(BDA), Hspice, NCSim, XA.
-Deep knowledge on DC/Transient/Noise/PSS, Cross corner PVT, Aging/Reliability analysis, MonteCarlo simulations.
-Strong ability to solve simulation accuracy and speed issues.
-Experience in evaluating simulation related CAD tool/product application and driving EDA vendors to meet design requirements.
-Understanding behavioral models for analog/AMS circuits, experience in Verilog- AMS.
-Knowledge of PDK and spice models qualification.
-Programming skills in languages such as: SKILL, Ocean, Perl, Python, TCL, Shell.
-Ability to provide automations for rapid and dynamic design needs.
-Knowledge in Perforce and/or regressions is a plus.
You will be a team player will excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and with German language skills an asset.
