Dialogue is a critical factor in successful recruitment. Over the last 15 years, IC Resources has slowly and steadily grown a team of professional recruiters who, we hope, you will genuinely enjoy talking to. This doesn’t mean that all conversations will be easy – it is sometimes up to us to be honest with individuals or clients and challenge their expectations. However our philosophy is to work with your long term goals in mind, and make small enhancements to your career, company or recruitment process with every interaction.
In 1999, a weak link existed in the UK technology industry’s internal supply chain: there was no recruitment partner working in the best long term interests of the technology community’s membership. As a co-founder of IC Resources, I started the business with the vision of helping individuals (our candidates) and companies (our clients) to achieve their long term ambitions within a prosperous and exciting sector.
Staying true to our vision is the only real business decision we ever made or, now, make. Candidates love to have someone acting as their personal ‘agent’ and customers always value expertise and insight-led services. Our hard work and industry commitment have enabled us to become the recognised recruitment partner to the global technology community.
I now have the opportunity to focus on my professional passions, including:
At a personal level, I still manage to get myself up and down the basketball court occasionally and have re-engaged with the Questors Theatre after 13 years away from ‘the boards’. I am intrigued by the intrinsic transformational potential of silly hats.
http://uk.linkedin.com/in/icexecutiveJames’ career in recruitment started in 1996, so he has a wealth of experience in the industry. He is responsible for the overall performance of the company across all specialist divisions and for defining and implementing strategy and growth plans.
Working with the management team, a primary objective is to ensure delivery to clients and candidates is kept to the same high standard that helped establish IC Resources as the leading name within the industry. He builds on relationships created since the inception of the company and ensures newer partnerships are built on foundations of trust and honesty.
Outside the office he can be found regularly stuck on the M25 commuting between work and his new home by the beach in Broadstairs. Weekends are spent with the family, walking their dog, going for bike rides and taking his sons go karting.
James is particularly passionate about supporting the burgeoning micro pub scene in the Broadstairs area. It can be no coincidence that since moving to the area there’s been an explosion of profitable watering holes up and down the Kent coast.

Dan joined IC Resources in 2008 after 3 years working on contract recruitment in the engineering sector. He has overseen the rapid expansion of the contracts business and more lately assisted in the development of various permanent divisions.
He is looking forward to driving further company growth whilst maintaining the same values that have served the company so well since it’s inception.
Before joining us Dan undertook a business and media design degree at Southampton uni, graduating with a BA Hons and had planned a career in marketing. However, whilst waiting to officially graduate in 2005, he worked in a junior recruitment position for beer money!… the bug took hold, and the rest is history.
Having now spent over 10 years within the recruitment sector, Dan believes that it’s the experience of dealing with people all day, every day that keeps it interesting – it is a fantastic job.
