You will collaborate with chip architects and multidisciplinary teams to shape the future of CPU microarchitecture and design.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This position is based in Cork, Ireland, a vibrant and growing hub for innovation and technology, offering an excellent quality of life and connectivity to international destinations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Performance Exploration<\/strong>: Collaborate with the CPU modeling team to explore high-performance strategies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Microarchitecture Development<\/strong>: Engage in early high-level architectural exploration, conduct microarchitectural research, and develop detailed specifications<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>RTL Ownership<\/strong>: Develop, assess, and refine RTL designs to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Functional Verification Support<\/strong>: Assist the design verification team in executing functional verification strategies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Performance Verification Support<\/strong>: Ensure the RTL design meets performance objectives<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Design Delivery<\/strong>: Work with cross-functional engineering teams to implement and validate physical designs, focusing on timing, area, reliability, and testability<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Computer Science, Electrical\/Electronics Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">In-depth knowledge of <strong>microprocessor architecture<\/strong>, with expertise in one or more of the following areas:<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Instruction fetch and decode, branch prediction, instruction scheduling, register renaming, out-of-order execution, integer and floating-point execution, load\/store execution, prefetching, cache, and memory subsystems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Proficiency in <strong>Verilog<\/strong> and\/or <strong>VHDL<\/strong>, along with experience using simulators and waveform debugging tools<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong understanding of logic design principles, including timing and power implications.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Familiarity with low-power microarchitecture techniques<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Knowledge of high-performance techniques and trade-offs in CPU microarchitecture<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with scripting languages such as <strong>Perl or Python<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Join us in shaping the future of technology and innovation.
