{"id":139446,"date":"2026-06-04T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/jobs\/data-scientist-contract-permanent-467770\/"},"modified":"2026-08-15T18:07:36","modified_gmt":"2026-08-15T17:07:36","slug":"data-scientist-contract-permanent-467770","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/de\/jobs\/data-scientist-contract-permanent-467770\/","title":{"rendered":"Data Scientist \u2013 Contract\/Permanent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Data Scientist \u2013 Contract\/Permanent (UK Hybrid)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">I am working with a technology client who&nbsp;is looking for a Data Scientist to join them on a contract or permanent basis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This role focuses on analysing complex structured and unstructured datasets, building and deploying predictive models, and delivering actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">You\u2019ll work closely with engineering and business teams to develop end-to-end machine learning solutions, from data exploration through to model development, evaluation, and deployment support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Key technical requirements:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong experience in Python or R for data analysis and modelling<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as <strong>scikit-learn, TensorFlow, <\/strong>or PyTorch<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong understanding of <strong>statistics, probability, and applied data science methods<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Proficiency in <strong>SQL<\/strong> and working with relational and\/or NoSQL databases<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with data visualisation tools such as <strong>Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate data into actionable insights<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Nice to have:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with big data frameworks such as <strong>Spark, Hive, or Hadoop<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Exposure to cloud ML platforms such as <strong>AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, or Azure ML<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with Git and ML workflow automation \/ MLOps practices<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Commercial awareness and experience applying data science to real-world business problems<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">For more information or to apply, please contact Marcus Coppen at IC Resources.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Data Scientist \u2013 Contract\/Permanent (UK Hybrid) I am working with a technology client who&nbsp;is looking for a Data Scientist to join them on a contract or permanent basis.
