{"id":186318,"date":"2026-07-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/jobs\/mechanical-design-engineer-491679\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T14:09:19","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T13:09:19","slug":"mechanical-design-engineer-491679","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/de\/jobs\/mechanical-design-engineer-491679\/","title":{"rendered":"Mechanical Design Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">We\u2019re looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of advanced mechanical systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">The ideal candidate will have experience in thermal management systems, electronic enclosure assemblies, mechanical design, and engineering simulation, along with a strong understanding of materials and mechanical testing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Key responsibilities<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Design and develop complex mechanical systems, including thermal management systems and electronic enclosure assemblies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, including component and assembly drawings<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Develop and apply engineering models to simulate and optimise thermal management systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Perform thermal and mechanical analysis using CAE and FEA tools, including stress and strain analysis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Support and conduct thermal and mechanical testing, developing appropriate test methods and procedures<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Apply knowledge of materials science to material selection, with an understanding of material limitations in vacuum and thermal environments<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Work closely with suppliers and contractors, managing technical requirements and supporting the successful delivery of components and systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the design, development, and delivery process<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">What we\u2019re looking for<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Significant experience in the design and development of mechanical systems, particularly thermal management systems and electronic enclosure assemblies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD for mechanical and structural design<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience using CAE tools and thermal\/mechanical FEA, including stress and strain analysis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience in thermal and mechanical testing and the development of associated test methods<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">A strong understanding of materials science and its application to vacuum and thermal systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">An undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Fluency in both German and English<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Interested in the opportunity?
