{"id":212228,"date":"2026-09-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-09-02T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/jobs\/field-application-engineer-power-semiconductors-508517\/"},"modified":"2026-09-05T06:05:55","modified_gmt":"2026-09-05T05:05:55","slug":"field-application-engineer-power-semiconductors-508517","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/de\/jobs\/field-application-engineer-power-semiconductors-508517\/","title":{"rendered":"Field Application Engineer &#8211; Power Semiconductors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">A fast-growing deep-tech company working at the forefront of power electronics and semiconductor technology is looking for a Field Application Engineer to join its expanding team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">The business is developing advanced technologies designed to improve the efficiency, protection and resilience of modern electrical power systems, with applications across areas including data infrastructure, electrification, buildings, automotive and aerospace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys combining power electronics, laboratory testing, system design and customer applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">You will identify and assess new applications for advanced semiconductor-based power technologies, working closely with customers and external partners to develop practical solutions. You will design, build and validate demonstrators, prototypes and evaluation platforms, as well as develop test setups for characterisation and performance testing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">You will also support testing and contribute to technical documentation including application notes, reports and design guidance, while keeping up to date with developments in power semiconductor technologies. The role will involve working across multiple projects and collaborating with both technical and commercial stakeholders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>You will ideally have:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">A degree or MSc in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related discipline.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">5\u201310 years&#8216; experience in power electronics and\/or power semiconductor technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Knowledge of power semiconductor device limitations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a practical, hands-on engineering approach.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, partners and multidisciplinary teams.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects and take ownership of technical challenges.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">If you&#8217;re interested in working for a fast growing manufacturer, please apply to learn more!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">If you&#8217;re interested in this, or other semiconductor sales positions, please contact Jack Bird at IC Resources.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A fast-growing deep-tech company working at the forefront of power electronics and semiconductor technology is looking for a Field Application Engineer to join its expanding team.
