{"id":219628,"date":"2026-09-10T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/jobs\/principal-software-architect-512355\/"},"modified":"2026-10-18T18:21:35","modified_gmt":"2026-10-18T17:21:35","slug":"principal-software-architect-512355","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/de\/jobs\/principal-software-architect-512355\/","title":{"rendered":"Principal Software Architect"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">My client is a market leading global IoT technology company, with a wide range of hardware &amp; software products\/services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">They are looking to hire a Principal Software Architect to drive innovation and shape the future of its connected software ecosystem across cloud, desktop, Firmware and mobile platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This is a high-impact role focused on improving architectural consistency, modernising legacy systems, and driving scalable IoT solutions across a complex engineering environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">You will work closely with senior management and the relevant technical teams to define technical direction, align technologies, and ensure systems evolve in a scalable and maintainable way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Key skills\/experience required:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Extensive experience in software engineering, with significant time in architectural roles<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Proven experience designing distributed systems across cloud and application layers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP), ideally across multiple<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience integrating hardware or embedded systems with cloud-based platforms<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Excellent communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience in IoT or software\/hardware environments (eg connected devices, telecoms)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Exposure to mobile and SDK-based architectures<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Familiarity with AI-assisted development approaches<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Track record of delivering pragmatic, implementable architecture (not just conceptual design)&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This is a hybrid role (3 days per week in the office).
