{"id":246545,"date":"2026-10-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-09-30T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/jobs\/digital-design-engineer-523882\/"},"modified":"2026-11-06T14:16:18","modified_gmt":"2026-11-06T14:16:18","slug":"digital-design-engineer-523882","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/de\/jobs\/digital-design-engineer-523882\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital Design Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Digital Design Engineer \u2013 RTL \/ ASIC \/ Bluetooth<\/h1>\n<p>Sophia Antipolis, France | Hybrid<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m working with an established semiconductor IP company in Sophia Antipolis that is expanding its hardware team and looking for a Digital Design Engineer to join a specialist Bluetooth IP group.<\/p>\n<p>This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to do more than simply code RTL.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be involved from microarchitecture through RTL design, verification and FPGA prototyping, taking ownership of your work and seeing how your designs fit into the wider wireless system.<\/p>\n<p>The team develops advanced connectivity IP used at significant scale, giving you the chance to work on real commercial technology while building deeper experience across the full digital design flow.<\/p>\n<h2>What you\u2019ll be working on<\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019ll contribute to the design and development of advanced Bluetooth \/ 802.15.4 MAC and PHY modules, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Defining microarchitecture<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>RTL design using Verilog \/ SystemVerilog<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Taking ownership of design and verification<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Developing testbenches and supporting code coverage<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Synthesis and co-simulation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Implementing designs on FPGA for prototyping<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Supporting validation and product certification<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Working closely with architecture, systems, algorithms, software, hardware and validation teams<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Producing documentation covering microarchitecture, interfaces and module-level testing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Contributing ideas around tools, methodology and engineering processes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What they\u2019re looking for<\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019ll ideally have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>3+ years of hands-on Digital Design \/ RTL experience<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong Verilog or SystemVerilog<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience with ASIC, SoC or FPGA development<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A solid understanding of the digital design flow, including microarchitecture, RTL, testbenches, verification, synthesis and code coverage<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience implementing designs on FPGA<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The ability to take ownership of your work and operate with a good level of autonomy<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, 802.15.4, Cellular \/ 3GPP or other wireless communication standards would be a strong advantage.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge of SoC architecture, subsystem architecture or IP integration would also be useful.<\/p>\n<h2>Why consider it?<\/h2>\n<p>This role gives you exposure to considerably more than just RTL implementation.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll have the opportunity to work on microarchitecture, design, verification and FPGA prototyping, while learning from engineers with deep experience in wireless connectivity and semiconductor IP.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a strong environment for someone who wants to develop broader technical ownership and move towards more complex subsystem and architecture work over time.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll also be joining a smaller engineering environment where your work is visible and where you can work closely with teams across the wider product rather than being confined to one narrow area.<\/p>\n<h2>Location<\/h2>\n<p>Sophia Antipolis, France<\/p>\n<p>Hybrid working, with around 3 days per week onsite.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates will need existing eligibility to work in France, as new visa sponsorship cannot currently be supported.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re a Digital Design Engineer, RTL Design Engineer, ASIC Design Engineer, SoC Design Engineer or FPGA Engineer with around 3+ years of experience and want to work on advanced Bluetooth and wireless IP, get in touch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Digital Design Engineer \u2013 RTL \/ ASIC \/ Bluetooth Sophia Antipolis, France | Hybrid I\u2019m working with an established semiconductor IP company in Sophia Antipolis that is expanding its hardware team and looking for a Digital Design Engineer to join a specialist Bluetooth IP group.
