{"id":74320,"date":"2026-03-02T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/jobs\/lead-rf-engineer-420371\/"},"modified":"2026-09-05T06:09:04","modified_gmt":"2026-09-05T05:09:04","slug":"lead-rf-engineer-420371","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/de\/jobs\/lead-rf-engineer-420371\/","title":{"rendered":"Lead RF Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">A leading engineering company specialising in advanced RF and millimetre-wave technologies is looking to hire a Lead RF Engineer to join its R&amp;D team in Cork, Ireland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">The Lead RF Engineer will play a key role in the design and development of high-performance RF and mmWave components and subsystems used in demanding applications including communications, radar, remote sensing and test and measurement systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This role would suit a Lead RF Engineer who enjoys both hands-on RF design work and providing technical leadership within a collaborative engineering environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">The Lead RF Engineer will take ownership of RF design activities across the full development lifecycle, from early concept through design, simulation, testing and validation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Key responsibilities include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Leading the design, analysis and testing of RF, microwave and millimetre-wave components and subsystems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Providing technical leadership on RF architecture and design decisions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Performing EM modelling and system simulations using tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST or AWR<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Defining RF test methodologies and supporting validation activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Acting as a technical interface with customers, partners and internal stakeholders<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Supporting project delivery by defining technical milestones and priorities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Mentoring and supporting junior engineers within the team<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Contributing to future product development and technology strategy<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Skills &amp; Experience<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">MSc or PhD in Electronics, Physics or a related discipline<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong experience designing RF, microwave or millimetre-wave components and systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Expertise using EM simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST or AWR<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong understanding of RF measurement techniques and laboratory equipment<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring engineers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Why Apply?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This opportunity offers the chance to join the Cork-based R&amp;D team of an established RF technology company with a strong track record of innovation in microwave and millimetre-wave engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">The Lead RF Engineer role provides the opportunity to influence future RF technologies while remaining hands-on with advanced RF design and development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">If this opportunity is of interest, please reach out to Zac Taylor at IC Resources for more information or to discuss the role further.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A leading engineering company specialising in advanced RF and millimetre-wave technologies is looking to hire a Lead RF Engineer to join its R&amp;D team in Cork, Ireland.
