As the Laser Systems Engineer, you will act as the UK laser lead, and maintain and improve laser system performance on site.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Responsibilities<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Lead local laser support at the UK site<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade Class 4 laser systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Coordinate with global laser teams on updates and deployments<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Provide first\u2011response support for laser issues and ensure system up time<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Contribute to local R&amp;D work and vendor engagement<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Support global laser fleet continuity across international sites<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Maintain safe operation, documentation and standard procedures<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Requirements<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Degree in physics, electrical engineering, photonics or related field<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Minimum three years hands on Class 4 laser experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex optical systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Lab or production environment experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Ability to lift 20 kg and handle laser hardware<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Fluent in English<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Preferred qualifications<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with Ti:sapphire, SHG, diode lasers or fibre amplifiers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Familiarity with frequency stabilisation techniques<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with laser subsystems for atomic physics<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong documentation and communication skills<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Rights to work in the UK required.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">If you\u2019re interested in the position of Laser Systems Engineer, please apply or contact Ella Flynn @ IC Resources for more details.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My client is looking for a Laser Systems Engineer who will support laser operations for their quantum processing platform.
