They were looking for several software engineers with a variety of different skills, as well as Computer Vision/Deep Learning engineers researchers and an FPGA engineer. There was, and still is, huge competition for these skills in London. Therefore, this involved many discussions with the co-founders around talent attraction, recruitment process and salary packages.
SOLUTION
Working closely with the Executive team at Cron AI, we formulated a concise and clear message to the market regarding these exciting opportunities at Cron AI and how these first employees would be leading the company's growth over following years. Candidates were really excited by the 3D perception platform that CronAi were developing and this certainly helped with candidate engagement. Starting the recruitment with a top down approach, we helped hire the senior members of the team first and then successfully completed an additional 9 hires during the second half of 2021.
RESULT
Cron AI managed to complete their first stage of hiring in London over a 5/6 month period. All in an extremely competitive and candidate driven market, whilst minimising time and internal disruption. Around 1 in 5 interviews resulted in an offer and over 60% of candidates sent went to the first screening.
