A company specialising in the innovation and design of capacitive touch controller circuits is seeking an Analog IC Design Engineer to join their design centre in Southampton – South Coast of the UK. These products enter into a range of applications including; mobile, notebook, automotive and fingerprint technologies!
In this role you will be responsible for the design and definition for new generation Capacitive Touch Controller ICs, from concept to creation and validation. The position will involve researching new architectures and techniques to improve performance, as well as novel solutions to reduce power and costs.
The candidate will become part of the international Analogue design community and operate within a multi-disciplinary and multi-site product team.
- Design new generation Capacitive Touch Controller ICs
- To contribute Analog IC CMOS expertise to the design process
- Contribute towards improvements in Analog design methods and flows
- Work closely with other team members to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects
- To provide clear and adequate documentation
BSc or BEng Electronics Engineering or equivalent, the successful Analog IC Design Engineer will have a minimum of 3 years Analog IC Design experience with experience working with deep sub-micron CMOS processes and familiarity with high-voltage analogue circuit design.
Knowledge of Verilog-AMS modelling, Mixed Signal co-simulation and/or experience of low power, multi-voltage design is required along with experience in Analog building blocks such as; Bandgaps, Bias generator, LDOs, ADCs, Oscillators and Switched-cap systems.
Experience is also required in; DFT, DFM, Silicon Debug, Failure analysis and system modelling. Strong knowledge of IC design tools Cadence and Mentor Graphics is essential.
You will have excellent communication skills along with strong problem solving skills and time management. Initiative and drive are highly regarded qualities.
