An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Build and Release Engineer within this leading technology developer based at their R+D Centre in Darmstadt. The Build and Release Engineer will be responsible for Linux system administration, planning and designing new CI and other related systems while also improving the existing systems. The Build and Release Engineer will also be responsible for integrating new hardware and software into existing Linux based build and CI systems. The Build and Release Engineer will work with different stakeholders across the company delivering fast and effective tools and builds across the company.
The successful Build and Release Engineer will have a solid technical education. You will have excellent knowledge of Linux (Debian pref.) systems administration and all associated tools. Coupled with this will be experience with CI systems (Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Drone CI or similar). Any exposure to networking concepts and protocols (SSH, IPv6 TLS etc.) would also be beneficial as would some knowledge of distributed version control software.
