The Optical Engineer (Fibre) is required for a long standing company in Devon working on fibre optic components for satellite communication systems.
The Optical Engineer will be designing high power optical amplifiers and transceiver subsystems. Tasks will involve prototyping, in depth design, assembly and test.
The ideal Optical Engineer will understand Fibre Systems, Opto-Electronic Components, Free Space Optics, Fibre Lasers, Fibre Amplifiers and Non-Linear Optics.
The key skills of the Optical Engineer will include:
PhD in Photonics / Optics
Fibre Systems
Optical Amplifiers
Free Space Optics
Lasers
