Senior DFT Engineer opportunity in Munich at a market leader in the development of high-end SOCs targeted to Automotive and Industrial applications. The Senior Design for Test (DFT) Design Engineer is responsible for defining and realising and verifying Digital DFT functions on IPs, Subsystem or IC level based on required specifications.

I am looking for a candidate who has solid understanding of DFT design and verification tasks who can provide efficient, high quality solutions for advanced products. An attractive compensation package including pension plan, flexible working hours in the office or at home bonus and shares will be offered to the successful Senior DFT Engineer.                                    

Your responsibilities include the following:
  • Assess and close requirements with the architecture, RTL and product teams to ensure DFT solutions are efficient and meet manufacturing requirements
  • Develop DFT solution for advanced products in leading edge manufacturing technologies
  • Align DFT implementation with the SOC platform and IP blocks in order to deliver a cost-effective, high quality implementation
  • Partner with the test engineering team to develop comprehensive and efficient manufacturing test programs
  • Develop DFT patterns, using ATPG, which meet product test requirements for Scan Stuck-At, Transition Delay, Memory BIST and Logic BIST
  • Work closely with the physical design implementation team to ensure power distribution, static timing analysis, clock distribution and other physical parameters meet specifications
  • Drive continuous improvements with the Quality team and Failure Analysis to address any design gaps promptly
  • Participate in Silicon evaluation to ensure test patterns are operational immediately after silicon arrives
  • Stay up-to-date on best design practices and industry trends for DFT which will help drive future improvements
Your profile
  • Master Degree in electrical engineering or computer science
  • 7+ experience in the field of  DFT design techniques, tools and methodology
  • Deep experience with ATPG and Memory-Test-and-Repair and other DFT topics
  • Experience with test engineering requirements and test pattern development for product launch
  • Understanding of test requirements for the automotive market
  • Strong problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Strong team player
  • Highly self-motivated
