An excellent opportunity has become available for DevOps Engineer to join a world-class team supporting the next generation of engineering innovations. The Primary areas of contribution would be Application Administration and Development of Automation in one of more tools in the Build and Release domains in a highly complex engineering environment.

 Within the DevOps Engineer position, you will have a number of core responsibilities that include: 
  • Building and supporting a highly complex Distributed application infrastructure in cloud and on-premises used by Software Engineering organization in the areas of Software Build and Release.
  • Solutioning and architecture for new solutions and improving the resilience of the current environment
  • Infrastructure automation using CI/CD principles
  • Integrating various tools in the DevOps toolchain to accelerate Engineering Tool team's velocity while maintaining high standards for quality and consistency.
  • Identify industry best practices and draft standards for the design and implementation of automation workflows
  • Contributing to 24x7 Operations
The successful applicant will possess experience with:
  • Experience designing and supporting solutions in cloud preferably AWS
  • Experience and knowledge of Chef Automation/Configuration Management tools
  • Experience in managing and supporting build tools such as; Jenkins, Electric Commander or in large scale environment cloud and/or on-prem
  • Experience with scripting skills in Ruby/Python/Perl required
  • Experience working as DevOps Engineer managing critical applications end to end on-prem or cloud (solution design, setup, implementation, monitoring, on-going operations)
  • Strong understanding of the software build and release process preferably in a wireless or telecom industry
  • Strong understanding of End-to-end understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) management and toolchains including build automation, version control, testing, code quality
  • *NIX skills as an application admin
  • Understanding and exposure to Agile process (SCRUM) is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required to work with globally distributed teams
  • Exceptional ability to drive tasks and deliver on time is a must to be successful in this role
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to be effective in a global organisation
