AI Research Engineer
Surrey, UK - Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

IC Resources is seeking an AI Research Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Surrey. This is an opportunity to work on the R&D of AI models in Python and C++ for embedded devices that will be deployed commercially.

The successful AI Research Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, optimising, and deploying innovative AI solutions and could come from an AI audio or computer vision industry background!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop state-of-the-art AI models to improve audio quality on embedded devices.
• Take technical ownership of key project components, translating complex requirements into detailed designs.
• Collaborate effectively with the team to integrate AI models into existing systems, ensuring smooth functionality and quality standards are met.

Essential Experience:

• Masters or PhD in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Proven industry experience in building, optimising and deploying AI models on embedded devices, using NPUs or CPUs.
• Strengths in both Python and C++

Desired Experience:

• Contributions to open-source ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, TensorFlow Lite).
• Familiarity with knowledge distillation, computer vision, or federated learning algorithms.
