I have an excellent opportunity with a market leading client based in Milan looking for an Analog Designer, or CAD Support engineer, who would be interested in taking their career in a different direction.
The Application Engineer role will involve activities such as:
The Application Engineer needs to be open to constant personal development and growth to meet the evolving demands of the electronics industry. This role spans a broad range of technologies: must be eager to learn new tools, flows and technologies.
The position requires a Master degree in micro-electronics Engineering with ideally 8-10+ years industry experience in analog & mixed-signal IC design, EDA and technical sales support.
Candidates with PhD in electronic design engineering are positively considered. The candidate should ideally possess expertise in several core areas:
The Application Engineer role will involve activities such as:
- Lead and drive technical evaluations: from demonstration to technical characterisation and evaluation rollout
- Provide technical customer support for our products related to the Front-End part of the Custom IC design platform
- To track all technical issues, document, prioritise, and effectively manage the customer’s satisfaction
- Visit customers for discovery meetings, technical updates and debug sessions.

- Good knowledge of industrial analog designs (mature or advanced nodes)
- Have a good understanding of Front-End IC design flow
- Analog/RF and Mixed-Signal simulation with Spice and Mixed Signal simulators
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso® Schematic, Analog Design Environment, Spectre®
- Experience with Spectre AMS Designer and Xcelium is highly desired
- Experience with A/MS and RNM modeling techniques is highly desired
- Linux environment and scripting languages
