ASIC Design Engineer

Location :This position is based in the engineering office in Cork or Dublin.

Overview: This global multi-national power house is seeking a talented Junior ASIC Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a member of the hardware development team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the design and verification of complex ASICs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with senior engineers to design and verify ASICs using Verilog and SystemVerilog
• Developing and executing verification plans using UVM methodology
• Contributing to the development of new hardware features and functionality
• Participating in design reviews and providing input on architectural decisions
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Solid understanding of hardware design concepts and methodologies
• Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog
• Experience with ASIC verification and UVM methodology
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Day-to-day

• Collaborating with the hardware development team to define and implement ASIC designs
• Participating in verification activities to ensure the functionality and reliability of ASICs
• Working on simulation and debugging of design and verification issues
• Communicating progress and challenges to the project team
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of design and verification processes
