I am recruiting for a CAD Engineer to join a rapidly growing, cutting-edge organisation in the Madrid area.

The company is seeking an experienced and highly skilled CAD Engineer with a strong background in Cadence flow and tools to become part of its engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, optimising, and managing CAD environments, with a particular focus on utilising Cadence’s suite of tools to develop and enhance complex IC designs. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth and efficient development of state-of-the-art technology products.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing, maintaining, and optimising CAD environments using Cadence tools and flow.
  • Supporting the design team by providing technical expertise on Cadence EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools.
  • Developing custom scripts to automate design processes and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Integrating and managing various tools in the Cadence suite, ensuring compatibility and streamlining design tasks.
  • Collaborating with engineers and designers to provide solutions and resolve issues in the design flow.
  • Offering ongoing support and troubleshooting for CAD-related issues.
  • Documenting workflows and best practices to ensure the effective use of Cadence tools.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have experience working with Cadence EDA tools (e.g., Virtuoso, Allegro, Innovus), along with a thorough understanding of CAD and EDA workflows, particularly within the semiconductor industry. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, TCL, or Perl for automation and optimisation is also required.
