CAD Engineer with PCB/IC Design

IC Resources is working with a client who is searching for a CAD/EDA Freelancer who will act as a senior member of staff for a Design flow project. Applicants must be located in a European Time Zone (+/- 2 hours). 

KEY POINTS: 

Deployment and support of integrated circuit design flows and tools used within the company.

Support design, package and PCB teams to pro-actively understand their needs and implement solutions to new technical challenges or recurring problems impacting new product development. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

CAD experienced engineer with either experience in IC (digital or analog) design, PCB design or IC Package design.

• Project liaison dedicated to specific Business design teams.
• Proactively coordinate and implement solutions to meet the needs of R&D teams, in collaboration with the worldwide DE Engineering Support team, DE design flow and technology development teams, IT teams, etc.
• Support R&D teams (design, package, PCB) on design tools integrated into the flow:
• diagnosis and resolution of problems
• development and customisation of design tools in collaboration with DE design flow
• deployment of new tools according to the needs of design teams
• training of design teams in design flow evolutions.
• Provide expertise in a defined area of technical competence.
• Cooperate with design teams worldwide confidently and clearly.
• Implement new methods of working, participate in the development of new tools with our IC development software supplier partners or with DE design flow and technology development teams.
• Create resolutions for IT problems, if needed.
• Establish lists of challenges to be solved by the teams and set up action and validation plans for the proposed solutions.

REMOTE WORKING. (Ideally some onsite working in France). 

12 Months + contract.
