12 Month Contract - ASAP Start Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated CBTC Test & Commissioning Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) systems. The role involves working in a Linux-based software environment to ensure the successful implementation and validation of our advanced rail signaling solutions.

- System Testing & Commissioning:
- Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and dynamic testing of CBTC systems.
- Perform integration and field testing, ensuring interoperability with existing rail systems and infrastructure.
- Execute trial operations and validate system performance under various operational conditions.
- Software & System Configuration:
- Work in a Linux-based environment to install, configure, and maintain CBTC software and tools.
- Develop and execute test scripts, automation, and monitoring solutions to ensure system integrity.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to system functionality, software, and hardware components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and implement solutions.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive test reports, including detailed findings, test logs, and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of testing activities, configurations, and system modifications.
- Proven experience in testing and commissioning of CBTC or similar rail signaling systems.
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and communication systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
- Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with rail industry standards and safety protocols.
- Previous experience in a rail signaling project environment.
