Our client is seeking an experienced Compiler Architect to develop and enhance compiler technology for specialised hardware. This role involves optimising performance, improving memory layout, and refining instruction execution for advanced computational workloads. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions with hardware accelerators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain compiler pipelines, including parsing, optimisation, and code generation.
- Develop and refine transformation techniques to improve execution efficiency.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to enhance compiler performance.
- Conduct testing and validation of compiler features to optimise computational workloads.
- Research and apply advancements in compiler technology for performance improvements.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership within the team.
- 5+ years of experience in compiler design and optimisation.
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in compiler frameworks such as LLVM, GCC, or similar.
- Strong programming skills in C++, Rust, Go, or Python.
- Experience with hardware accelerators (GPUs, specialised processors).
- Ability to develop and evaluate software performance models.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
