A successful Semiconductor company and one of most stabile in Germany that is a well known supplier of the automotive industry is looking for a Development Engineer for AMS Simulation Flow & Tools in ASIC Design. This role is based in Germany and requires onsite presence. International applications will be considered and relocation expenses covered as well as visa provided for the right candidate.
Your responsibilities include the following:
As a Development Engineer, you will work on the further development and implementation of systems and concepts for the Linux-based EDA design environment with focus on the analog part of the mixed signal ASIC design flow for use in the automotive electronics ASIC design unit.
You will work with the IT team to meet the design requirements and you will be responsible for the good performance of the job distribution in the grid of the assigned tools (related to Linux, Server, HPC/Grid, Storage). You gather requirements from all design teams (worldwide, including future needs) and drive generalisation of project specific solutions.
Your tasks include the coordination of the release and further development of methods and tools for the assigned area as well as the coordination of requirements with EDA and technology suppliers.
You support the global rollout of tools, methods and user training (including documentation within the reference flow) and ensure operations and support within the CAD/IT team for all ASIC Designers worldwide.
You will also support the quality and ISO26262 requirements for the EDA tools, both for in-house developments and manufacturer products.

The successful Development Engineer for AMS Simulation Flow & Tools in ASIC Design has the following qualifications and skills:
- Completed university studies (bachelor's degree/diploma/PhD) in electrical engineering or a comparable subject
- 7+ years of expert knowledge and experience of state of the art and ASIC design tools (EDA-vendors e.g. Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) and HW- development methodologies and -tools (incl. Linux, script- and programming-languages)
- Deep understanding of ASIC requirements and development flow, design tools and Software/Hardware environment
