Director of Operations

We are working with a leading global innovator in high-end electro-optical technologies for defense, science, and nuclear applications. They are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Operations to lead and optimise their operations as they embark on an exciting phase of growth and investment.

In this key leadership position, you will take charge of the full operational lifecycle, including:

• Production Planning: Streamline workflows to achieve production goals efficiently.
• Capacity Management: Optimise resources and systems for maximum productivity.
• Supply Chain Management: Ensure seamless material flow aligned with operational requirements.
• Change Management: Lead transformation initiatives, including ERP renewal, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone eager to build foundational processes, lead a growing team, and make a tangible impact on the organisation’s success.

Experience:

• A strong understanding of high-tech environments; experience with optical technology is advantageous but not essential.
• Significant experience in operational management, production planning, and supply chain.
•  A track record of challenging the status quo, making data-driven decisions, and delivering solutions.
• Proven ability to identify gaps, develop strategies, and drive operational efficiencies.
•  Comfortable working in an international environment and building strong relationships across multi-country teams.
• Experience in driving organisational transformation and modernising systems.
• Experience with ERP system renewal and leading organizational change is highly desirable
