I am seeking a DSP Research Engineer for Optical Communication Systems to join a world-leading research centre in Paris, France, to work on the innovation of new DSP algorithms for optical communications. This is an excellent opportunity for any subject matter experts in the field of coherent optical DSP and WDM ( Wavelength-division multiplexing ).

Primary Responsibilities
  • Collaborating closely with academia and other research centres in the full-cycle development, research, innovation, design, and implementation of DSP algorithms for coherent optical communication
  • Explore theories, design advanced algorithms, perform analysis, and run simulations
  • Deliver DSP algorithms to product line, generate intellectual property and file patents
Essential experience
  • PhD + track record of publications in leading journals (JLT, PTL, Opt. Express…) and conferences (OFC, ECOC), and/or patents.
  • Experience with optical and wireless communication systems (modulation, equalization, synchronization, forward error correction)
  • 4+ years industry experience or post-doc research in the field of DSP algorithms (FEC, MIMO, equalization etc.) and optical communication systems
  • Proficiency with Python and other programming and simulation tools
  • Must be in or able to work onsite in Paris Research Center
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Desired experience
  • Definition, coding, and verification of DSP blocks
  • High performance RTL coding,
  • Knowledge of ASIC implementation
