This leading semiconductor company urgently seeks an Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer to be based at their R+D Centre in Munich. The Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer will be working as part of a small, high calibre, team developing software and firmware for high speed SerDes PHYs used worldwide in the automotive industry. The Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer will be involved in the complete development lifecycle from initial definition, through simulation to delivery.
You will have completed your degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or similar. Since graduating you will have been developing firmware or embedded software in C, C++, SystemC or Assembler at hardware interface gaining experience with different MCU’s and microprocessors of all sizes. Bare metal development experience of small micro-controllers would also be beneficial. You will have some understanding of SerDes building blocks (PLL, Sampler, FIR, DFE) and any exposure to high speed PHYs (HDMI, Displayport etc) would also be a benefit. You must have excellent English, some German language proficiency (B1 / B2) and be already living and fully authorised to work in the European Union.
