Field Application Engineer (Connectors)

Field Applications Engineer required for a leading global manufacturer of connector Solutions. 

Location: Paris, France (Hybrid Working Model)

Responsibilities of the Field Appliction Engineer are:

• Act as a key interface between customers, Sales, and headquarters in Japan to ensure project commitments are met.
• Provide technical expertise to support Business Development Manager and Inside Sales team on assigned products.
• Assist in product recommendations during the design-in phase of customer projects.
• Support customers in understanding agency approval processes and industry standards.
• Foster strong relationships with engineering staff at key customer accounts.
• Gather Voice of the Customer requirements during project definition phase and coordinate internal project activities.
• Assist in developing product specifications based on customer specs and market needs.
• Prepare technical concepts for customer presentations, utilizing tools like Power Point, 3D-CAD, and cost calculations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, mechatronics, or higher qualification.
• Several years of professional engineering experience, with a focus on connectors.
• Design experience with similar products.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD operations, preferably in CoCreate Modelling and SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex applications and technical issues.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Enthusiasm for learning and working in an international environment.
• Fluent/native French and proficient in English.
