Field CTO

An established leader in the telecom industry is seeking a Field CTO to drive strategic technology initiatives and represent the company at the highest levels. This role requires a seasoned expert with deep technical knowledge, strong industry presence, and the ability to engage with key clients, partners, and stakeholders at major industry events.

Remote role in EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the company’s technological spokesperson, engaging with clients, partners, and industry leaders
• Represent the company at customer meetings, conferences, and panel discussions
• Provide thought leadership and insight into the company's technological vision
• Work closely with internal teams to align customer needs with technical innovations
• Drive business development through strategic technology insights in the telecom sector
• Maintain and expand relationships with high-profile clients
• Lead with strategic foresight, particularly in high-pressure situations
• Travel up to 40% as required for business needs

Key Requirements

• Extensive expertise in cellular technology (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G)
• Familiarity with feature sets of cellular networks
• 8+ years’ experience with a mobile network operator (MNO) in an engineering or technology leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering, or similar)
• Proven ability to work with C-level executives and cross-functional teams
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and crisis management skills
• BSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (MSc/PhD in Communication Theory, Systems, or Signal Processing preferred)
