Field Service Engineer

An opportunity has become available for a Field Service Engineer to join an equipment provider in the semiconductor and electronics industries based in Northamptonshire.

As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities would include:

• Frequent travel to customer sites across the UK & Europe (expected to be 50% of your working time).
• Performing maintenance, repairs, installations, de-installations, commissioning and hook-ups of capital equipment.
• Providing process diagnosis/development support to customers for equipment sets and associated processes.
• Deliver customer training services to ensure safe operation, maintenance and processing of materials using company equipment sets.

To be considered for the Field Service Engineer position, you will need:

• Proven ability to evaluate, analyse, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical equipment problems at customer sites.
• Strong computer literacy and software abilities.
• Previous experience in cleanroom environments.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of robotics, automation, mechanical engineering or electronics engineering preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• experience in Semiconductor Equipment Repair and Maintenance and/or Process Engineering in areas such as Wet Etch, Dry (Plasma) Etch, Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD), Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD)/Sputtering Systems, Photolithography, Chemical Mechanical Polish (CMP), and Rapid Thermal Processing and Metrology (SEM, XRF, Film Thickness Measurement).
