Our client is developing a new AI acceleration application utilising 3D optical computing. Harnessing the power of light for unprecedented speed and scalability while conserving energy.

Having recently received funding they’re looking to scale and are offering the chance to be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of computing!

As an FPGA Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in developing the electronic control systems for their cutting-edge optical processor. From concept to production, you'll collaborate with other talented engineers to drive innovation and bring their technology to life.

Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement high-speed FPGA firmware.
  • Contribute to system architecture design, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Be a key voice in group activities, working in a collaborative team with other electronics, FPGA and Optical Engineers.
The Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Previous experience in research projects or industry experience in engineering.
  • Proficiency in FPGA design (VHDL, System Verilog, Verilog).
  • Strong knowledge of high-speed memory (such as DDR4, HBM, MIG).
  • Serial interfaces (such as PCIe, 100GbE).
  • Passion for technology, creativity, and problem-solving.
