An exciting opportunity for an FPGA Engineer has arisen with a start-up company based in Oxford, specialising in the next generation of AI acceleration hardware using 3D optical computing. This groundbreaking technology leverages light to achieve unprecedented computation speeds and energy efficiency.

As an FPGA Engineer, you will develop high-speed FPGA firmware for optical data pre- and post-processing, configure hardware acceleration blocks, and work on high-speed interfaces such as PCIe. You will also play a pivotal role in taking projects from prototype to production while collaborating with a talented multidisciplinary team.

The ideal FPGA Engineer will include:

• Strong experience with high-speed FPGA design (VHDL, Verilog, System V).
• Proficiency in handling high-speed memory (DDR4, HBM) and interfaces like PCIe, 100GbE.
• Expertise in BareMetal embedded software (C/C++) and tool flows like AMD Zynq Vivado and Vitis.
• Excellent debugging skills for complex RTL designs and experience with timing constraints.
