Full Stack Software Engineer

Global technology company in Edinburgh is looking to hire experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to their expanding devops and tools team as they work on a range of new projects.

This team works across the organisation to provide tools and devops infrastructure to streamline the development, release, and deployment of software. 

This role will suit a versatile software engineer who enjoys working in a varied role and has a passion for developing innovative and high quality tools.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop innovative tools, infrastructure, and systems to enhance software development.
• Collaborate closely with software developers to automate and refine the development and release workflows.
• Partner with software development teams to help them follow established best practices and processes.

Key skills/experience required:

• Expertise in software development for platforms, infrastructure or devops environments
• Skilled in devops, CI/CD methodologies and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Strong experience with Typescript, Python and other languages (such as JavaScript, Java, Groovy, or Rust)
• Experience with containerization technologies, specifically Docker
• Highly proficient in Git and GitHub workflows, with experience contributing to open-source projects on GitHub
• Experience in web full stack development, using a range of languages and frameworks eg Node, React, Angular, etc
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure)
• Exposure to C/C++ and experience in embedded systems development
• Agile

This is a hybrid role role - requiring 3 days per week in their Edinburgh office.
