GCC Compiler Engineer

A GCC Compiler Software Engineer is sought by this leader in open source software tool chain development to be based at their R+D Centre in Nuremberg (opportunities also exist in Paris and Southampton UK).

The GCC Compiler Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and writing GCC based compilers aimed at deeply embedded processors and high performance computer systems. The GCC Compiler Software Engineer will be working with a very high calibre team developing machine learning compilers, security enhanced compilers and super optimised compilers all generating efficient code.

After completing your technical education, you will have gained a successful post graduate track record in compiler development. You will have a real in-depth knowledge of GCC based compiler development coupled with experience of working closely with the open-source community writing compilers, developing low level embedded software and tool chains.

Along with these skills you need to bring your enthusiasm for emerging compiler and tool chain technologies and also a real wish to continue your professional development! Any exposure to LLVM and general tool chain development would be beneficial. Fluent English is essential and some German language skills are preferred.
