Head of Assembly Manufacturing and Product Engineering

Our innovative Swiss/German start-up is now searching for a Head of Assembly Manufacturing and Product Engineering to be responsible for planning, managing and contributing to the operation of the company's production capabilities. Overseeing the day to day assembly and test, manufacturing and product engineering operations of the company in both the Swiss and German locations will be required. Building and managing the manufacturing and supply chain teams will be an important part of the role. A strong technical background in the manufacturing of optics & photonics devices and systems and proven leadership capabilities to lead the manufacturing operations and accelerate the time-to-market of the innovative photonics products is important for this role.

Required skills for the Head of Manufacturing will include:

• Strong semiconductor assembly, test and product engineering experience
• Experience in NPI and product engineering (product quality & yield)
• Manufacturing of optics and photonics devices experience
• High degree of initiative and results-orientation
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• PhD or master degree in physics, electrical engineering or a related discipline with background in either optics, photonics, MEMS, or related areas.
