Lead CPU Architect

Our client, an early-stage processor start-up is seeking a Lead CPU Architect to join them either in Bristol or Central Cambridge.

This exciting new company is developing a completely new general purpose processor architecture that is fundamentally different from anything that has gone before. They have plans to expand significantly over the coming year, and seek a Lead CPU Architect to develop a modified version of RISC-V ISA incorporating the company’s hardware to better support managed-language software. The Lead CPU Architect will be truly instrumental and at the heart of the next evolution of general-purpose computing.

The right candidate will be:

• An experienced processor architect, with a strong track-record working on CPU architecture
• Capable of designing an ISA from scratch
• Knowledgeable in compilers
• Excited to work as part of a fun, energetic start-up
• An excellent communicator
