Maintenance Section Head

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Section Head to join a Semiconductor Manufacturer based in Switzerland.

As a Maintenance Section Head in the Implantation/Metalization department, your responsibilities would include:

• Manage the Implant-Metal Maintenance group of machines, technicians, and services within the IC Frontend Operations in order to deliver stable, predictable, and improving performance of the machines whilst remaining within the boundaries of time, resources, and costs.
• Enhance the preventive, predictive, and curative maintenance of the equipment in terms of Safety, PM on Time, PM in Time, First Time Right, efficiency, Costs, MTBF, MTTR.
• Perform regular equipment performance analysis through a PDCA methodology by identifying Key Characteristics in collaboration with the Process Team.
• Oversee 8Ds and Task Forces when necessary with all the stakeholders.
• Manage the technician's team in terms of safety, organization, staffing of the shifts, behavior, and team building in a positive social climate.
• Develop the skills in order to increase the know-how in a sustainable manner for each collaborator and also for the Maintenance Team.
• Maintain and update documentation in the frame of the Quality System: procedures, checklists, standards and norms, and information from equipment suppliers.
• Ensure clear and structured communication throughout the maintenance group and within the IC Frontend organization.
• Be proactive with the suppliers by tracking the actions and by conducting recurrent interviews in order to have continuous support and efficiency for the interventions.
• Track and plan spare parts and service contract costs.
• Provide technical inputs on new equipment acquisitions and manage the start-up and integration in the IC Frontend Operations.

To be considered for the Maintenance Section Head opportunity, you will need:

• HES Engineering degree or equivalent
• Precious maintenance experience in the Implant-Metal area
• Previous experience in a managerial role is desirable.
• Experience in dealing and collaborating with external suppliers
• Leadership skills
• Problem-solving attitude
• Organised and methodical approach
• 5S, 8D, FMEA Equipment, FDC(Maestria)
