I am working with a rapidly growing tech start-up on a mission to revolutionise flood detection and prevention technology. Their cutting-edge solutions have gained recognition for their innovation and effectiveness, propelling them into a global market.

Due to expansion, they are seeking an Operations Lead (Operations Manager) to join their dynamic IoT Sensor team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their company.

As the Operations Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and optimising operational processes to enhance efficiency and ensure customer excellence within their organisation. You will manage critical aspects of their operations, including sub-contractor relationships, supply chain management, oversight of installations and maintenance, and monitoring customer escalation and satisfaction. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on their growing company's success as well as the opportunity to travel on occasion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sub-contractor Management: Collaborate with and oversee subcontractors to ensure project deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Supply Chain Management: Develop and manage an efficient supply chain system to support our growing product demand and optimise inventory levels.
  • Installations and Maintenance: Coordinate and supervise the installation and maintenance of their IoT Sensors to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Escalation and Satisfaction Monitoring: Implement systems to track and address customer escalations promptly, while continuously measuring and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Process Optimisation: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Operations Management, Business Administration, etc.)
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a technology or hardware-related industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on process optimisation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
