Optical Engineer

We are searching for a skilled Optical Engineer who is looking to join an exciting and innovative company developing patented a Microscopy system. As part of a high calibre multi-disciplinary team, this engineer will thrive working on cutting edge technology.

Key requirements

• Relevant degree in Optics or similar
• Experience in optical systems design. Preferably microscopy or imaging technologies
• Hands on experience with lasers and fibre optics, including test and characterisation
• Proficiency in optical modelling software (eg. ANSYS OpticStudio aka Zemax)
• Programming for data analysis (eg. Python, MATLAB, LabView)
• Solid knowledge of optical fundamentals and knowledge of wave and ray optics
