We're working with a pioneering company developing their next generation of high-end audio mixing desks. As a PCB Design Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of design, collaborating with a dynamic team to bring their vision to life.
Your Role:
- Interpret schematics and layouts of multi-layer PCBs, ensuring strict adherence to design rules for signal integrity, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate closely with hardware design engineers, contributing your expertise to circuit schematics, layout discussions, and signal integrity simulations.
- Take charge of PCB layout design activities, from schematic review to Gerber generation, ensuring every detail meets our exacting standards.
- Perform PCB layout design activities including schematic review, part library creation, component placement, and routing.
- Create and maintain part libraries based on component datasheets and drawings.
- Liaise with hardware engineers to ensure PCB layouts meet design requirements.
- Provide quick turnaround placement and route analysis for design feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with PCB fabricators to resolve manufacturing-related issues.
- Ensure PCB compatibility with enclosures and fixings by working closely with the mechanical CAD team.
- Background in engineering, with a strong emphasis on electronics.
- Prior experience in PCB/hardware design, particularly with high-speed, high-density, and high-layer count PCBs.
- Expertise in high-speed serial communication interfaces such as SERDES, SATA, PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, and USB 3.0.
- Competency in reading schematics and using them as a layout reference.
- Experience with PCB fabrication assembly processes.
- Strong working knowledge of Altium PCB layout tools and schematic capture tools (desirable).
