Photonics Engineer

Great opportunity for an Integrated Photonics Design engineer in south Wales to join a Photonics team that are looking for engineers of all levels with strong Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) design and verification experience to join a growing department.

Skills Required:

PIC design and validation experience in one or more of the following:

• Developing new and improved chip-scale Photonics devices and circuits
• R&D on PICs and photonic devices for quantum and/or optical communications applications
• On-chip component design, modelling, and chip layout design
• Development of electro-optic testbeds for verifying device and system performance
• Competent in use of photonic design tools such as Lumerical, IPKISS, and/or COMSOL
