My client a leading manufacturer for power electronic components is looking to hire an experienced technical manager to lead their Power Business Unit.
This role will be based on a hybrid basis in San Diego.

- Collaborate with Power PBU head to devise strategic growth plans for the global Specialised Power PBU.
- Direct and coordinate global R&D and PM activities to ensure coverage of key customer R&D and IC design house interfaces.
- Optimise global R&D processes for improved regional interaction and support.
- Lead global PBU marketing activities, PM team, and act as the primary contact for SBG.
- Maximise profits by achieving consistent annual revenue and profit growth aligned with Annual Plan requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: BS in Electrical Engineering and MBA or equivalent.
- Experience: 10-15 years in engineering, product/marketing management, or operations management, including five years in general management.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Power Supplies and/or Power Magnetics or Semiconductor background.
- Skills: Ability to create and execute multi-year strategic plans, work across geographical and cultural regions, lead cross-functional groups, and understand the sales process.
- Internal: CEO, SBG head, RSMs, PBU heads, Deputy PBU heads, Corporate Department heads, Operations managers.
- External: High-level management, engineering, semiconductor houses, commodity managers, purchasing managers, buyers, component engineers, production engineers, and channel partners.
- Set organisational priorities and resist de focusing.
- Support customers even when it costs the company.
- Support team without compromising other departments.
- Anticipate market demand and competitive information.
- Be creative and take calculated risks.
- Provide quality leadership and develop the team.
- Work across divisions and organisational lines.
- Establish effective working relationships.
- Work with intercultural teams over different time zones.
- Understand regionally different customer management practices.
- Support Power PBU head in developing Annual Plan budget and quarterly plans.
- Drive implementation of global Specialised Power PBU goals.
- Communicate goals effectively within Pulse.
- Drive execution of strategic and tactical plans globally.
- Ensure communication and alignment with Division locations.
- Assist in setting and adjusting Division structure.
- Schedule regular meetings with Division leadership.
- Visit customers and IC houses regularly.
- Plan and execute talent review and retention process.
- Develop and maintain a productive relationship with the global sales team.
- Act consistently with Pulse's Statement of Principles.
